Creating and dispatching loads

To create a load, open Loads and choose New load. Select the customer, set the origin and destination, loaded miles, and the customer rate. Saving creates the load in POSTED status with a reference number.

From the loads board you can see every load grouped by status: posted, assigned, in transit, delivered, billed, and paid. Open a load and choose Assign driver to put it on a truck — the load moves to ASSIGNED.

As the load progresses, use the quick actions to move it to in transit and delivered. Each transition is timestamped, and only valid next states are offered, so a load can't skip steps.
